Review: Anytime

Last Friday we headed to Anytime for our favorite fish, a crispy skinned, European perch served with a potato and mushroom compote and a creamy basil sauce.

Anytime’s menu covers a wide range of dishes with an equally diverse pricing scale. The menu seems first to be divided by price, down scale pricing and somewhat up scale pricing. Then the menu is further divided into a couple of more categories, an impressive pizza menu, a pasta menu and then the French Bistro menu with quality meats and fish. In most cases this translates into a restaurant not being particularly adept at anything on their menu. This is not the case here. While I am not inclined to recommend their pasta, Anytime is very skilled with managing their menu and keeping an even quality.

My personal recommendation is the fish. The Angler they had on last year’s menu was to die for. This year I warmly recommend the Perch. If you are in the mood for something light then definitely go for the tuna carpaccio, they’ll double the serving if you ask.

It’s a small little spot with a simple decor and a cozy atmosphere.
